APPLICATION TECHNIQUE

Use heated instruments to remove two-thirds of the canal filling. Prepare the canal with the Exacto drill. To verify the preparation, take a periapical radiograph. Position the post in the canal to ensure proper fit and complete insertion. Trim the post to the desired height. Use water jets to rinse the canal, then use air and absorbent paper tips to dry it. If required, apply acid etching the canal for 15 seconds with 37% phosphoric acid. Apply the primer/adhesive according to the manufacturer's instructions. Allow it to dry for one minute. Clean the post with alcohol. Dry with air from the triple syringe. Apply the silane. Allow it to dry for one minute. Apply the adhesive as directed by the cement's instructions for use. Apply the cement to the post and canal, then position and finish according to the cement's instructions for use. Build the core. Complete with a restoration, either direct or indirect.
