The "Bernard" root elevator is an instrument for the removal of fractured roots or root remnants. It has a working part sized at 4.0 mm. The root elevator combines the functions of a root elevator and a periotome. The concave inner side and the cutting side edges enable effective separation of the ligaments and loosening of the root remnant through rotating movements and light pressure.
