SynMax ist ein vollsynthetisches, sicheres und biokompatibles Material, das in einem ossären Umfeld als osteokonduktives Gerüst dient und das Einwachsen und die Fusion des angrenzenden vitalen Knochens unterstützt. Es besteht aus 60 % Hydroxylapatit und 40 % Betatricalciumphosphat. Nach der Implantation durchläuft das Material einen natürlichen Remodelingprozess und wird schrittweise resorbiert und durch neuen Knochen ersetzt.
